Zusammenfassung:The method involves arranging the workpiece (102) in a plasma generation chamber (104) and generating a plasma in the chamber with which the coating (100) is at least partly hardened. The coating can be hardened by radiation and suitable radiation is generated in the plasma to harden the coating. Electromagnetic radiation in the range from approximately 50 nm to 850 nm is generated. Independent claims are also included for the following: a workpiece with a coating hardened in accordance with the inventive method and a device for hardening a coating on a workpiece.
