An independent claim is also included for a method for preparing (A). ACTIVITY : Cerebroprotective; Nootropic; Neuroprotective; Ophthalmological; Auditory; Hypotensive; Cardiant; Antianginal; Nephrotropic; Anticoagulant; Cytostatic; Antidiabetic. No details of tests for these activities are given. MECHANISM OF ACTION : Physical removal of fibrinogen and/or fibrin. Die Erfindung betrifft ein Adsorbens zum Absenken der Konzentration von Fibrinogen und/oder Fibrin in Blut oder Blutplasma, umfassend eine organische Matrix mit kovalent an die Matrix gebundenen synthetischen Seitenketten, die endständige vicinale, durch Hydrolyse von endständigen Epoxygruppen gebildete Hydroxygruppen aufweisen, wobei die synthetischen Seitenketten Peptid-frei sind und keine aromatischen Gruppen aufweisen. Des weiteren betrifft die Erfindung ein Verfahren zur Herstellung des Adsorbens sowie die Verwendung des Adsorbens zur Herstellung eines Adsorbers zur Absenkung der Konzentration von Fibrinogen und/oder Fibrin in Blut oder Blutplasma.
