Zusammenfassung:	A waveguide includes a longitudinal structure having a first end opposite a second end. The waveguide further includes a grooved surface formed on the structure adjacent the first end. The geometric size of the longitudinal structure is substantially constant while the grooved surface reshapes a light input ray to decrease the divergence of the ray in the vertical direction and increase the divergence of the ray in the horizontal direction.
