Zusammenfassung:An electrooptical voltage sensor for measuring an electrical voltage V, where a voltage V is applied between two electrodes (3,4) gives an electric field, an electro-optically active medium (1) is arranged between the electrodes, which can be irradiated with light (5), and the electric field can affect the polarization state of the light in the medium and can be detected after leaving the medium, and the voltage V can be determined from the detected polarization state. An independent claim is included for measurement of the voltage V as described above, where a distancing medium (2) is located between the electrodes.
