Conditioning equipment

To clean the lower blanket (3) which carries a web (1) between press rollers (4,5), at a production or finishing machine for paper or cardboard or tissue, a cleaning unit (9) is fitted with a number of high pressure jets, working with a water extraction unit (12). The cleaning stage, with a reciprocating movement action, is near a measurement unit (11) which monitors the blanket condition. The measurement unit is preferably at the reciprocating drive system (10) together with the cleaning units. The measurement unit is linked to a control, which sets the volume and pressure of cleaning fluids, according to the degree of blanket soiling.
