Zusammenfassung:	In one embodiment, a scanning device includes a light source (120) configured to selectively illuminate an area of interest (315) and a light sensitive receiver (150) configured to receive light from the light source (120) and generate signals based on the received light. Control logic (220) is configured to power the light source (120) at least one power level, to generate mid-tone-scan signals at the light sensitive receiver (150). Calibration logic (335) is configured to determine a calibration factor for a selected pixel based data including the mid-tone-scan signals.
