Further, image pickup parameters suitable for the inference result and the measurement of a length measuring sensor 13 are set, and the main image pickup process is executed under the image pickup conditions corresponding to the parameters. Furthermore, the result of detection of the face image, the inference result and the information additionally input after image pickup operation are linked with the image acquired by the main image pickup process, and stored in a memory 6 or a memory card 16 or output externally through a USB interface 15.
