Rear corner of a vehicle

The motor vehicle's rear has a rear frame with two longitudinal beams (6) connected to a lower rear wall (1). Both longitudinal beams pass through an opening (5) in the inner rear wall and are connected to the outer rear wall (2). A vertically orientated fastening plate (10) for the bumper (4) is fitted on the rear ends of both longitudinal beams and against which bears the outer rear wall from the outside. The fastening plate is connected to a reinforcing component (8) which is U-form in cross section and fits round the two longitudinal beams from underneath in the region of the inner rear wall.
