Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a precoat filter for filtering fluids, particularly beer, comprising a filtration tank, a filter inlet with a supply tube for supplying non-filtrate, filtering auxiliary means, to which an inlet distributor is connected, a number of filter cartridges arranged inside a non-filtrate space of the filtration tank, and a filtrate discharge. The invention is characterized in that the inlet distributor comprises, as an outlet for the non-filtrate, an encircling annular gap that steadily enlarges toward the lateral filtration tank wall.
