Zusammenfassung:	Detecting hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) comprising treating an isolated body sample with a detection reagent (A) that is specific for insulin-like growth factor binding protein-2 (I) and/or the mRNA (II) that encodes it, measuring some parameter that correlates with amount of (I) and/or (II) and comparing the result with reference values, is new. An Independent claim is also included for a test system for detecting HCC in isolated sample material comprising a solid phase having a coating able to bind (I) or (II) and a second solid phase with a coating able to bind some other marker of hepatocellular tumor or its mRNA.
