Modular system for moulds of injection moulding machines

A standardized modular system comprises an injection assembly (1), an ejection assembly (5), and a mold comprising a fixed mold half (3) and a movable mold half (4). The system further comprises female mold inserts and male mold inserts (32, 42), first adapter mechanism, and a second adapter mechanism disposed interchangeably between the ejection assembly and the movable mold half. A standardized modular system comprises an injection assembly provided with injectors (14) for injection of plastic material in a mold; an ejection assembly provided with ejectors for ejecting a molded item from the mold; and a mold comprising a fixed mold half associated with the injection assembly, and a movable mold half associated with the ejection assembly and movable from a mold closed position where the plastic material is injected into the mold to a mold open position where the item formed by the mold is ejected. The system further comprises female mold inserts and male mold inserts removably mounted in special seats (31) formed respectively in a female mold plate (30) of the fixed mold half and in a male mold plate (40) of the movable mold half to be modularly composable and decomposable, according to the item to be molded; first adapter mechanism disposed interchangeably between the injection assembly and the fixed mold half to allow the arrangement of the injectors of the injection assembly to be varied; and a second adapter mechanism disposed interchangeably between the ejection assembly and the movable mold half to allow the arrangement of the ejectors of the ejector assembly to be varied.
