PROCESSES AND DEVICES FOR IMPROVING THE REACTIVITY OF NATURAL TRIGLYCERIDES WITH MICROWAVE RADIATION

The invention relates to devices and methods using microwave radiation and radio frequencies for hydrolysis, then methanol for esterification of the fatty acids contained in natural oils in the form of glycerides, comprising two apparatus models, one for the laboratory and one of industrial cycles, where the microwave generators are outside the Pyrex laboratory reactor and inside the steel cylinder, in an original form and at a different height for the industrial cycle, with thermostats to control magnetron activation and disabling. Various chemical methods were experimented with for hydrolysis then methyl esterification of natural fatty acids using microwaves, to prepare biodiesel ,using inorganic compounds, organic compounds and microwaves as the catalysts, even modulating the reaction temperature with different percentages of methanol.
