Matting agent based on precipitated silica

A precipitated silica has a Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET surface area) of 350-550 m2/g; DBP number of 320-400 g/100 g, where DBP number is a measure of porosity; d50 of 5-15 microns (i.e. 50% of the measured particles, based on volume, are smaller than this volume); and tamped density of 20-90 g/l.
