Zusammenfassung:Use is claimed of substituted poly(alkylenedioxythiophenes) as solid electrolytes in electrolytic capacitors. Use is claimed of substituted poly(alkylenedioxythiophenes) with repeating units of formula (I) as solid electrolytes in electrolytic condensers. [Image] A : 1-5C alkylene optionally linked via linker L to -OR and optionally further substituted; L : methylene; x : 0 or an integer 1 or greater; and R : H, optionally SO 3H-, SO 3-, COOH- or COO ->-substituted 1-18C alkyl, 7-18C aralkyl, 5-14C aryl or 5-12C cycloalkyl Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an electrolytic condenser containing a layer of oxidizable metal, an oxide layer of the metal, contacts and also a solid electrolyte containing a substituted poly(alkylenedioxythiophene) with repeating units of formula (I); (2) production of the condenser by (i) applying a thiophene of formula (II), an oxidant and optionally a counterion together or sequentially and optionally in solution form onto an oxidic layer of a metal and chemically polymerizing at -10 to 250[deg]C or (ii) applying a thiophene of formula (II) and counterions (optionally from solution) onto an oxidic layer of a metal and electrochemically polymerizing at -78 to 250[deg]C; and (3) an electroconductive layer with a specific conductivity >=150 S/cm obtained by the above methods.
