Zusammenfassung: | A light emitting diode (D3) illuminates the watch face when required but in standby mode acts as a detector of ambient light. The output from the diode in detector mode is supplied to a transistor (T1) and resistor (R1) which in turn feed a logic circuit (1) such that the lighting level when next switched on (PB1) is high or low according to the measured ambient light level. A further circuit (C3, R9) allows for eye adjustment time. An INDEPENDANT CLAIM is also included for : A lighting control method for wristwatches or similar which uses a light emitting diode to measure the ambient light level as well as for illumination. |
