Zusammenfassung:The waste zone, at a carding machine, is cleaned of dust and waste and short fibers by a compressed air unit which generates a compressed air flow in the zone between the doffer roller, the take-off roller and the mangle rollers. A suction unit is at the lower stripper and the lower mangle roller, and a further suction unit is over the upper stripper blade. The compressed air flow is maintained for a duration of up to 5 seconds, or up to 15 seconds if required or up to 60 seconds, at intervals of 1-60 minutes or 3-30 minutes.
