Zusammenfassung:	The system ( 1 ) is installed in a coaxial line for the transmission of high-frequency signals. It serves for the purpose of protecting apparatus or installations against electromagnetic pulses, overvoltages and/or lightning strokes. The system ( 1 ) comprises shortcircuit lines ( 5, 6 ), which are disposed approximately parallel to the inner conductor ( 3 ) of the coaxial line. This disposition makes possible to develop the housing ( 2 ) of the system ( 1 ) concentrically to the longitudinal axis ( 9 ) and the housing ( 2 ) has no projecting elements.
