Zusammenfassung:	A knotter drive assembly (10) for controlling the tying function of a large rectangular baler includes a knotter drive shaft (12) having a one-way clutch (18) driving the drive shaft (12) in one direction and a drive member (70) connecting the one-way clutch (18) to a powered device (34), like a hydraulic actuator. An energy storage device (62) may be used to bring the powered device (34) back into a starting position and to keep the drive member (70), which may be in the form of a cable, chain or the like in driving engagement with the one way clutch (18).
