Zusammenfassung:	A spring (62) acting directly upon on a stop (22) on the injection adjustment piston (6) and a separate spring assembly (60, 61) acting upon the control slide (12) are located between the cold start acceleration piston (23) and one of the faces (18) of the injection adjustment piston. The spring assembly is mounted on a support (55). A high pressure pump (1) for supplying internal combustion machinery with fuel has its casing (2) connected to an adjustment unit (5) for altering injection time. The adjustment unit comprises an injection adjustment piston which has inlet bores (10, 11) and contains a movable control side. A tensioning force is applied to the face of the injection adjustment piston facing the cold start acceleration piston.
