A two-coat polyurethane coatings system comprises binder components (A) and hardener components (B) for coating flexible substrates where the hardener component (B) is an asparaginic acid ester of formula (I). R and R = 1-4C alkyl; X = a residue of formula (II); A = a divalent organic residue; Z = a divalent 4-18C aliphatic residue; and n = 0-1. Independent claims are included for: (1) Leather coated with the inventive coating; and (2) Textile coated with the inventive coating.
