Zusammenfassung:Radiation-emitting semiconductor element comprises: base body (1) with recess; semiconductor body (3) and luminescence-converting element (7). The recess has a cup-shaped molded partial region in which body (3) is arranged and filled with element (1). The element has a boundary surface which borders the cup-like partial region against the remaining inner space of the recess. Preferred Features: A conductor frame (2) is embedded in the base body so that a partial region of the frame forms the base surface of the recess. The recess is partially filled with a reaction resin (13). The luminescence-converting element contains yttrium aluminum garnet:cerium (YAG: Ce), terbium yttrium aluminum garnet:cerium (TbYAG: Ce), gadolinium yttrium aluminum garnet:cerium (GdYAG: Ce), gadolinium terbium yttrium aluminum garnet:cerium (GdTbYAG: Ce) or mixtures based on these, embedded in a matrix containing an acrylic resin, epoxy resin and/or silicone resin.
