Zusammenfassung:A vibration damping apparatus (36) is provided with a main body (37), an elastic deformation section (41) provided at the main body (37), and a projection (42) which is made to follow an action of the elastic deformation section with deformation in every direction. Then, the vibration damping apparatus (36) damps external vibration transferred to the projection in such a way that the elastic deformation section acts as damper. For that reason, in recording/reproducing apparatus and so forth to be electronic apparatus on which the vibration damping apparatus is installed, it is possible to realize reduction of writing time and reading time to recording medium.
