Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a supporting construction for supporting an object, which supporting construction comprises two elements (58) which are adjustable about an axis of rotation with respect to each other and which can be clamped together in a desired position. The two elements are provided with projecting ridges (69) of conical section and with grooves (7,10) in which said ridges are received, which ridges and which grooves extend concentrically about the axis of rotation and perpendicularly to an imaginary plane through said axis of rotation.
