Zusammenfassung:Thin electronic chip card comprises an IC chip and a flat energy storage device (5) for supplying current to the chip. An additional high strength film (6) made from metal or fiber-reinforced plastic is arranged between outer covering films (10, 11) and the energy storage device. The high strength film partially covers the surface of the energy storage device and protrudes over its periphery. Preferred Features: The additional high strength film is formed on both sides of the storage device by adhering or hot laminating. The film is made from steel alloys or non-ferrous metal alloys. The energy storage device is a primary element having a negative electrode made from lithium or lithium alloy.
