Zusammenfassung:Production of a filter insert having folds extending in the radial direction comprises pleating a filter material to form a rectangular filter plate with folds arranged across the longitudinal direction; placing the filter plate around a core; and connecting the first and last folds of the plate in a peripheral direction. Preferred Features: One longitudinal side of the plate and/or one longitudinal side of the partial sections of the plate are connected with an edge. The core is encased with a sealing material on the outer peripheral side.
