Shaped bodies and coatings based on silane functional binders

Molded products and coatings comprising: (A) fillers; and (B) binders containing (b1) hydrolysis and condensation products of polyisocyanate derivatives with alkoxysilyl groups and hydrophilic groups and (b2) colloidal silica, in which the content of polyisocyanate derivatives is 1-10 wt% based on the solid content of the molded product or coating. Molded products and coatings containing: (A) fillers with an average particle diameter of more than 400 nm and a length/diameter ratio of more than 5:1; and (B) binders containing (b1) hydrolysis and condensation products of (b1.1) polyisocyanate derivatives with alkoxysilyl groups and hydrophilic groups and (b2) colloidal silicon dioxide, in which the content of polyisocyanate derivatives is 1-10 wt% based on the solid content of the molding or coating. An Independent claim is also included for a method for the production of molded products and coatings by mixing (A) and (B), optionally adding crosslinking catalysts and molding aids, and then forming, drying and hardening the mixture.
