Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a method for detecting scaling in a tubular boiler (1) of a hot drinks machine. According to the invention, said method consists of the following steps: after the machine has been switched on, the temperature is measured using a temperature sensor; this measurement is compared with a first predetermined value; if this value has not been reached, the temperature is measured again and the new measurement is compared with the first predetermined value; if the first predetermined value has been reached, a predetermined waiting period is allow to pass; once this period has passed, the temperature is measured using the sensor and the resulting complementary measurement is compared with a second predetermined value; and if said complementary measurement is higher than the second predetermined value, warning element are activated.
