Zusammenfassung:	The rotary hammer device (1) has a hammer (6) and an insert end (3) rotatably mounted in a body (8) of the device. This insert end has an axially aligned bore (37) in which a hammer piston (4) is mounted displaceable. A first end (42) of the piston faces the hammer device and the second end (43) faces the hammer receiver (2) so that knocks sent out from the hammer device can be transferred directly to the receiver through the hammer piston. The insert end has elements (35) coupled in keyed engagement with the rotary device (5) which preferably has a pneumatic or hydraulically operating rotary drive.
