Zusammenfassung:	The method involves detecting relevant values (1, 1',...) with respect to the individual sheets for the printing process and processing the values so predetermined limit values (4,4') are maintained. The trend of a relevant value over a sequence of sheets is detected and measures are initiated if a variation in values occurs whereby a continuation of the trend for a further predetermined number of sheets would lead to a limit being exceeded. Independent claims are also included for the following: an arrangement for implementing the method.
