Zusammenfassung:	A loudspeaker drive unit actuator (105) for driving a diaphragm (100) comprising a compliant coupling part (107) adapted to drive the diaphragm (100) pistonically at lower frequencies at a pistonic drive point which is predominantly at the centre of the actuator and a rigid coupling part (109) which is at a location offset from the compliant coupling part and which is adapted to drive the diaphragm to excite resonance in the diaphragm (100) at higher frequencies at a bending wave excitation point which is offset from the centre of the actuator.
