A camera (14) establishes the identity of the user by detecting the physical trait or characteristic of the user. A processor unit (30) controls the operation of the terminal. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a method for operating self-service terminal; (b) a non-cash transaction terminal; (c) and a non-cash transaction method.
