Zusammenfassung: | An electrically heated laminated window (1) is disclosed in which an array (2) of heating wires (3) is embedded in an interlayer material (23) extending between inner and outer panes (22, 21) and connected to a voltage supply by bus bars (6, 7, 8, 9) in the form of tinned copper strips. At least one face of a bus bar in contact with the heating wires is coated with a low melting solder and that bus bar face is also coated with a halogen-free flux prior to application of the solder. The use of a halogen-free flux avoids corrosion of the heating wires in the vicinity of the heating wire/bus bar joint, thereby reducing the likelihood of inoperative heating wires and increasing the durability of the heating circuit. Such heated windows are used especially in vehicles. |
