Zusammenfassung: | Known telecommunication systems like analog telephones require extensive adaptation in case of a change of standard with respect to the caller identification signals. By storing different code definition signals defining different caller identification signals in said telephone beforehand, all left to be done is a selection of one of said code definition signals. Even automatic adaptation can be made possible by informing said telephone about which code definition signal is to be selected and/or by sending a selection mechanism to said telephone. Said code definition signal could further be downloaded into said telephone or form part of general software, in which case said selection mechanism could form part of more specific software. |
