Zusammenfassung:	A mechanical component has a plastic covering moulded over annular groove(s) in a body. The covering forms functional surface(s) for contacting another component. An Independent claim is included for the following manufacturing a component as above by a primary and secondary cores into a mould. The primary core is centrally located in the mould and the body of the component is placed inside the primary core. The secondary core is partly inserted into the body. The mould is closed and plastic injected to form the covering.
