In the first position, the poppet (12) plugs an aperture (26) so as to resist fluid flow through the aperture (26). In the second position, the poppet (12) is in a position that allows fluid flow through the aperture (26). The poppet (12) may be coupled directly with an armature (22) disposed within the housing (16).
