Zusammenfassung: | The invention refers to a vehicle wheel alignment system comprising: a plurality of alignment angle sensors adapted to be mounted on vehicle wheels to sense wheel alignment angles, a computer adapted to execute a wheel alignment software application, a plurality of hardware interface boards, each of the plurality of hardware interface boards disposed between one of the plurality of alignment angle sensors and the computer and operatively coupled to pass raw alignment angle signals therebetween, an operating system residing on the computer and comprising a self-contained software object unique to the plurality of hardware interface boards, the self-contained software object adapted to convert raw alignment angle signals from the plurality of hardware interface boards into processed alignment angle signals capable of being interpreted by the wheel alignment software application, whereby the wheel alignment software application may receive processed alignment angle signals from a second plurality of sensors upon the replacement of the plurality of hardware interface boards and the self-contained software object with a second plurality of hardware interface boards and a second self-contained software object. |
