LASER ENGRAVING DEVICE

A laser engraving device, in particular for printing plates, has a parallelepipedal case (2) which can be closed by a cover (2') and in which a laser processing head (10) can be moved relative to a processing table (3) along two perpendicular axes (X; Y), as well as a driving device and an electronic controller (R) for the displacement of the processing head. A hollow case profile (1) is mounted on the rear wall of the case and contains guiding means along the x-axis (7) and a belt drive (4) for a cantilevered arm that can be moved along and extends vertically away from the guiding means. The cantilevered arm is also designed as a hollow case profile (6) and contains means (9) for guiding the displacement of the processing head (10) along the y-axis, as well as an associated belt drive (11). The two hollow case profiles have longitudinal slots through which bearing elements (5, 13) of the cantilevered arm and processing head are linked to the associated belt drive inside the respective hollow case profile.
