Zusammenfassung:	The method involves determining the open circuit voltage (u1) from a voltage under load. A voltage measuring device is connected to the battery and is supplied with a drive current (iB) through the battery. A first voltage (u2) is measured after a first time (t1) from when the connection is made. After a second time (t2), a second voltage (u3) is measured, with which a higher load is passed through a test current (iT). The voltage difference between the first and second voltages is used to determine the open circuit voltage. An Independent claim is included for an arrangement for implementing the method.
