Zusammenfassung:A light-amount control method in an optical printer head capable of correcting a variation in light amount due to voltage application to electrodes corresponding to luminous dots neighboring a luminous dot concerned. Time of voltage application to each of luminous dots is determined in view of a variation in light amount due to luminous dots neighboring the luminous dot, to thereby accurately output light amount required for each of the luminous dots in correspondence to image data. This eliminates a deterioration in image quality due to a variation in light amount owing to the neighboring luminous dots.
