Zusammenfassung:	Recording sheet (29) extracted from tray (28) is led to common media path (32), then to heating media path (33) by rollers (40). Sheet is preheated to 55-65 [deg]C and printing on one surface is performed. Sheet is partially led out of printer by set of exit rollers (25,26), reconveyed and again heated. Then, printing is performed on reverse side and duplex printed sheet is ejected out. The preheating of sheet is performed by a preheater assembly (42). After completion of recording on one surface, the sheet is conveyed out to output area (11) by exit rollers, while still holding edge of sheet, above tip of passive media path diverter (54). For duplex printing, the direction of rotation of exit rollers is reversed and the sheet is led to duplex media path which leads to printing station. An independent claim is also included for the printing sheet handling apparatus of duplex printer.
