Method for controlling the motion of an armature of an electromagnetic actuator

During initial pull-in, the voltage (U) is reduced to zero. Just before impact of the armature (4d) on either coil, (4a, 4b), the voltage is reapplied for braking effect. Switching instants are time-optimized.
