Zusammenfassung: | An object of the present invention is to separate and recover iron and nonferrous metals, such as zinc, contained in iron-and steel-making dust, by mixing the dust with charcoal material and conducting reduction processing in an externally heated-type rotary furnace. Dust and charcoal material are mixed with each other at a ratio of 1 : 0.05 to 0.3, and this mixture and reducing gas, which contains hydrogen or carbon monoxide, are charged into an externally heated-type rotary furnace. Iron and nonferrous metals, such as zinc, contained in iron-and steel-making dust are reduced by reducing gas in the furnace, so that zinc is volatilized and separated from solid substance. Water vapor and carbon dioxide, which are generated simultaneously at this time, react with charcoal material, so that they can be changed into hydrogen and carbon monoxide. Therefore, the furnace can contain a highly reducing atmosphere. |
