Zusammenfassung:The beam forming network (26) has two dimensional stacks of Rotman lenses (28) provided with element ports (34) connected to respective radiating elements. The Rotman lenses generate frequency invariant spot beam signals which are communicated between the radiating elements and Rotman lenses via the ports. The phase shifters (24) are adjusted to direct the spot and regional beams to desired locations. The reconfigurable multiple beam phased array antenna (10) has variable phase shifters respectively connected to the radiating elements (14) arranged in a planar array. A beam forming network forms spot beam signals, and forms a regional beam signal from a combination of spot beam signals.
