Zusammenfassung: | The present invention relates to a process for manufacturing a silver halide photographic material comprising the step of adding to a silver halide emulsion a polyamine-polycarboxyl derivative and an aryl compound having at least two hydroxyl groups and at least one additional substituent represented by a sulfonic group, an hydroxyl group, a carboxy group or a hydroxymethyl group. The use of such a combination as antispotting agent to prevent metal contamination and to increase the speed to Dmin ratio of a silver halide photographic emulsion and a silver halide element comprising such an aryl compound is also claimed. |
