Zusammenfassung:	A coating or adhesive material containing: (a) at least one binder, (b) at least one crosslinking agent, and (c) at least one crosslinked, cyclic, and/or acyclic 9-16C alkane having at least two hydroxyl or thiol groups and at least one active hydroxyl and at least one active thiol group, is new. Independent claims are included for: (1) a process for preparation of the coating or adhesive material by mixing (a), (b), and (c); (2) a process for preparation of coated shaped parts or compound parts, e.g. consisting of or containing foils, glass, wood, paper and/or metals, by coating a coating material onto the shaped parts and hardening the resultant layer; (3) a process for preparing glued compound items, consisting of, or containing, foils, glass, wood, paper and/or metals, by applying the adhesive to the surface or surfaces of the glass, wood, paper and/or metals to be adhesive bonded and, if required, prehardened, and to the surface or surfaces of the shaped part. Next, the surfaces are brought into contact, and the glue is allowed to harden.
