Zusammenfassung:	A method of manufacturing a copper tube, which method comprises at least the following method step: -a. the copper tube is sunk; wherein the method further comprises at least the following method step: -b. the copper tube is plastically stretched; which method step b. is carried out after method step a. The half-hard or hard tube thus manufactured has a very low value for the residual hoop stress. Consequently, the tube is very insensitive to stress corrosion.
