INDICATING PLATE FOR WATCHES

An indicating plate for solar watches comprises a color diffusion plate constructed such that a coloring imparting agent, coloring imparting and light diffusing agent, colored, translucent substrate, patterned, colored thin layer and a diffusion layer transmit through the indicating plate light in a wavelength region that causes power generation of the solar cell housed below the indicating plate among light incident upon at least the indicating plate, make visibility of the solar cell from outside through the indicating plate difficult, and impart a coloring tone to the indicating plate. Also, the indicating plate for watches is such that portions thereof exposed to at least a front side are formed by an indicating member composed of at least two different kinds of members and comprising an inner peripheral side member and an outer peripheral side member, both of which are formed of a natural material such as precious stone, shell, glass and ceramics, metals and plastics. With such construction, the solar cell and cross wires and the like existent below the plate are prevented from being seen through the indicating plate, and a design variation including a pattern and a tone having a high-grade appearance is greatly diversified to improve a quality of appearance to increase a commodity value.
