Ligated D-protein and method of identifying compounds that modulate receptor activity
A ligated D-protein is disclosed represented by the formula: R-L-R' wherein: R and R' are D-peptides (amino acid residue sequences consisting essentially of D-amino acids), at least one of R and R' having a length of at least 50 amino acids and L represents a linkage unit for ligating...

Zusammenfassung: | A ligated D-protein is disclosed represented by the formula: R-L-R' wherein: R and R' are D-peptides (amino acid residue sequences consisting essentially of D-amino acids), at least one of R and R' having a length of at least 50 amino acids and L represents a linkage unit for ligating R to R', L being selected from the group consisting of thiol ester and selenol ester linkage units. A method is also disclosed of identifying compounds that modulate receptor activity comprising: (a) contacting at least one compound from a chemical library with a D-receptor, and (b) determining said compound's ability to modulate said D-receptor's activity; wherein said compound is not known to inhibit said D-receptor activity prior to said contacting. |
