Zusammenfassung:	The HV generator has a HV stage (1) providing a DC output voltage (Uout) and a further voltage generator stage (2) for providing at least one further DC voltage (UF1,UF2), with a setting device (3) for adjusting the latter over a defined voltage range. The setting device is supplied with a voltage which is between 100 and 200 % of the upper limit of the voltage setting range and a voltage which is between 50 and 100 % of the lower limit of the voltage setting range at respective voltage nodes (3B,3A).
