Zusammenfassung:A laminated lithium ion cell consists of flexible layers. The negative electrode is lithium metal, a lithium alloy or a metallic felt or foam containing a lithium interchelating metal such as carbon, graphite, tungsten dioxide, titanium dioxide, titanium disulphide, molybdenum dioxide or vanadium pentoxide as active component. The separator consists of a porous polymer in which a non-aqueous electrolyte is confined and the positive electrode contains lithinated manganese dioxide, manganese spinel, lithium metal oxide - mixed oxide or -sulphide as active component. Also claimed is a method of producing the cell by adding a plasticiser to the separator and optionally to the polymer material covering the negative electrode prior to lamination.
